post whole30, you get to decide for yourself what is "worth it" and "not worth it." Personally, I don't think xylitol is a good choice, and I would rather have a dab of local honey or maple syrup if I was going to do something sweet when I wasn't doing a whole30, but that's just me.

pros for xylitol: I guess it's good for dental health? low calorie, if that's even a criteria.

cons: chemical, unnaturally sweet, slight laxative effect
