ngredients:

Cold Brew Coffee (Water, Coffee Extract), Almondmilk (Water, Almonds), Coconut Cream, Potassium Citrate, Sunflower Lecithin, Calcium Carbonate, Sea Salt, Natural Flavors, Locust Bean Gum, Gellan Gum.

I thought the extract would make it a no-go but many people are saying it is okay. Just looking for an official answer.

Officially, technically, yes... but you can buy or make coffee that has a lot less random unnecessary ingredients... this looks and sounds like some sort of science experiement... which yes, is technically compliant.

Coming from a scientist:

Cold Brew Coffee (Water, Coffee Extract), Almondmilk (Water, Almonds), Coconut Cream, Potassium Citrate, Sunflower Lecithin, Calcium Carbonate, Sea Salt, Natural Flavors, Locust Bean Gum, Gellan Gum.

Translate to Coffee made with water and extract, almond milk, coconut cream, buffering agent, emulsifier, calcium fortification and/or white coloring agent, sea salt, who's to say, and two emulsifier/thickeners.

So basically coffee-flavored water treated with various emulsifying agents to keep the milk and cream in suspension, and give it all a 'better mouth feel'.

Why not just drink cold coffee.

Couldn't have said it better myself LucieB! The thing I find about these convenience foods... they're sad facimiles of that which our grandparents drank for years... cold coffee and cream... put it in a thermos... shake before drinking. Voila! Do we all sometimes deserve to have a convenient, commercially available drink or snack? Yes, of course... but we want you to really understand that these ingredients are added, not for your own benefit, but to make you want the item... for instance, after all the stabilizers and emulsifiers and whiteners are added, the mouthfeel of that coffee concoction feels creamier and more luxurious than the one you make at home... but that's not because it IS better, it's because it's got chemicals in it to make you THINK you can't make such delicious coffee at home and then you go and spend money to a company that has tricked you into thinking that what you can make for yourself doesn't and won't measure up.

My answer to all of that is: YUCK!

jmcbn, your comment seems a little rude. OP never said they didn't like coffee, just that they didn't like coffee plan. There are plenty of things that I like the flavor of, but I wouldn't enjoy consuming by themselves:  lemons, limes, garlic, cumin, etc.. I feel like your comment was unnecessary, and the fact that it was allowed as a moderator makes me lose some respect for this program.

I'm sorry you feel that way @Lauren81055

A big part of Whole30 is learning to question why we are attached to the things we are, such as sweeteners & flavour enhancers. Is it the taste of the coffee we like? Or the creamers & sweeteners we add to it? And this is what I was trying to get the OP to have a think about.

I don't think you can compare coffee to lemon, limes, garlic & cumin as they would be more like the sweetener/creamer in any case in that they add flavour to the food.

Please remember that the moderators are all volunteers and we are all human... that means that unlike robots, our personalities come through, we ask questions of other people and we have conversations with the members.  If @jmcbn comment was not your cup of tea, that's fine, that's why there are many moderators, all with our own personalities.  It does not reflect poorly on the program for a human being to ask a question of a member struggling with something.  She wasn't rude and the comment was not unnecessary.
