Susan W
Hmm..interesting. Can you list the ingredients on the label?
Kirsteen
I've checked their website and every single bacon they list is cured with sugar and dextrose among other things so I'm afraid that rules it out. http://www.hormel.com/products/Variety.aspx?ID=7&RecipesOnly=False
Meg Hamilton
Remember that nitrates/nitrites are not on the "big 3 no-no list". It's MSG, soy & sulfites/sulfates.
stephieliz
If you're trying to avoid mail-order, look for Pederson's sugar-free uncured bacon (for sure @ Whole Foods... maybe other natural grocers?): http://pedersonsfarms.com/product/uncured-no-sugar-hickory-smoked-bacon-natural-paleo-bacon/

Jtandi
I have found compliant bacon at Target and someone else found some at Safeway...both are the reduced sodium bacon. that said, if you look more into eating bacon, the abscence of sugar is one part, the other part is that it come from happy healthy pigs (mostly because there is so much fat)...bacon is counted as a fat rather than a meat. when I'm doing a whole30 I tend to order my bacon from US Wellness because of the quality of pork. if I run out before this whole30 is through I might consider one of the other sources, but in real life I use bacon that has 0% in the nutritional information that comes from happy oinks. (these would not be ok during a whole30 because, even though they are 0% in nutrition they still used sugar to cure)
