esquireou
I am into crossfit and one of the major protein shakes that most of the athletes use is Progenex. Does anyone know if this Protein Shake Brand is whole 30 compliant?
kayell
Several ingredients in it that are not W30 ok. I wouldn't touch it after a W30 either with the aspartame, soy and sucralose. Whey Protein Hydrolysate, Natural Cocoa Powder, Natural Chocolate Flavor, Aspartame, Milk, Soy, Growth Factor Enriched Whey Protein Concentrate, L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine, Sucralose. Megan Claydon
I agree with Kayell. I'm a full-time crossfit coach and I would never advise any of my athletes to take progenex. During a whole 30, all protein powders are off limits

Tdawg
I agree. I'm actually surprised CrossFit boxes sale Progenex. It has alot of crap that isn't good for us. I wouldn't even recommend you using it once you've completed the Whole30.

Sanja Pahernik
What about whey isolate natural? No lactose, no sweeteners, no aroma...
Moderators Tom Denham Posted August 21, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 21, 2012 Nope. No protein powder is okay during a Whole30. The Whole30 is about eating real food. Protein powder is highly processed and NOT real food.

Iris_CR
I'm confused because SFH is supposed to be Whole 30 approved, does this mean that I should not use any of their products or is their products?
Robin Strathdee
SFH Fish Oil is Whole30 approved, but the rest of their products should be vetted based on program guidelines.
Iris_CR
Thank you so much Robin! I've spent the past few hours trying to find out! One less thing to purchase...
