Marceeruns
Is it common to get super bloated and cramping after eating cabbage? I love cabbage but wonder if there's anything to be done to avoid the after effects?
Mary Carmosino Beougher
My husband gets bloating after cabbage and for him it's an allergy (he's been tested) basically anything in the brassica family is no, with broccoli being the worst (brings on vomiting for him) with cauliflower being next. He can eat cabbage and kale in small amounts, but he knows he'll have the yuckies after. He says it's worth it for my cole slaw.
Robin Strathdee
Cabbage is pretty notorious for causing gas and bloating Some folks get it worse than others. To mitigate that, eat it cooked and sparingly.
whyte68
cabbage is a major gas producer. Take something like beno or some type of gas blocker so you can eat it gas free.

Looks like Beano tablets are not W30 compliant. According to wikipedia, they contain invertase, which is a combination of fructose and glucose.
