TessTurbo
I see that dates aren't verboten, if not entirely encouraged, when used in moderation as an ingredient in a sauce or such. In five days I've used exactly one, in a sauce recipe from one of the Well Fed books. How about date sugar as an ingredient? It's nothing but ground-up dehydrated dates. Can't use it in beverages as it doesn't melt. I'm sitting on a couple of lbs. of it from a visit to a date palm farm while on vacation. Thanks. AmyS
Not for use during Whole30. (For after, I have to say I'm intrigued by the concept and imagining the flavor...)
Moderators Tom Denham Posted March 10, 2014 Moderators Share Posted March 10, 2014 Part of what you need to learn during a Whole30 is how well you can eat and how much sweetness you can experience without any added sweeteners. Date sugar would keep you from learning these things.
