  1. Check out Nom Nom Paleo and Well Fed for some great recipes. Well Fed also has tips for a weekly cookup so you can get most of the food prepared on one day and then quickly put together plates during the week. Good Luck!
  2. The meal plan download is for The Whole30: The 30‑Day Guide to Total Health and Food Freedom. Enjoy!
  3. Time to ditch my rheumy?

Did you find a doctor in San Diego? Mine is in Del Mar The Natural Path, Dr Jeff Mersky.
  4. I created my own and posted it at the top of this forum. You may need to try a different browser to download it. I will also post it on Facebook so you can download it from there. Enjoy!
  5. I tried Chrome and IE and I can't download from either. Hopefully I am the only one with this frustration. Luckily I don't need it because I have the original. LOL
  6. Whole30 Compliant Sauces to Purchase

Check out The Clothes Make The Girl blog. She has some amazing whole30 compliant sauces that you can make ahead and have on hand. Enjoy!
  7. Paleo Creamer...

You can also add vanilla powder (not vanilla extract) or any other spice that you like: nutmeg, ginger, allspice. Some mixes like Pumpkin Pie Spice may not be compliant so check carefully, Enjoy!
  8. Day 8...I'm done!

Most people quit around day 10, some earlier some later. Don't get discouraged. The best way for success is to plan ahead. Get some great recipes that you love and that will help you through it. Check out The Clothes Make The Girl or Nom Nom Paleo. They both have 30 day meal plans and tons of great recipes that are whole30 compliant. Good Luck!
  9. Hot, Spicy Peppers. Yay or nay?

Yes as long as they don't have any non compliant ingredients. Some peppers in a jar have sulphies, wine or sugar. If they are fresh eat away.
  10. Welcome, the best way to succeed is to plan ahead. Make sure you have compliant snacks so that if you are starving you won't be tempted by non compliant items. Do a cookup once a week so you have everything ready to go, then you can just mix an match meat and veggies. See The Clothes Makes the Girl or http://meljoulwan.com/wellfed/for some tips. Good Luck!
  11. I had a ruptured disc in my back. I actually had to fix my teeth to fix the pain. Also I have to be gluten free or the pain comes back for weeks. If you have gone to a traditional doctor you may want to check out a natural path and a dentist/orthodontist that uses the Kois method for correcting your bite. Your natural path may be able to recommend a dentist to you. It was a long process but I feel 85% better. I don't think I will ever be back to 100%.
  12. This website won't allow you to download the shopping list anymore. Not sure why. If you can tag me on FB or leave a message here I am happy to send you my shopping list. It isn't perfect but it's a good start.
  13. This post may help. http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/8665-hormones-and-a-new-whole-30-should-i/
  14. Well Fed on Sale

Keep looking I think her books were on sale last year around this time.
  15. I am not an expert but maybe I can give you another perspective. #1 You mentioned that you are a perfectionist. Maybe this will be good for you to try and let the perfection go during you whole30. It's not about perfection it's about changing your eating habits. Sometimes you eat a large bowl of fruit salad or entire jar of almond butter. It happens. No worries try to do better tomorrow. #2 You have some positive things going on including sleep and exercise so give yourself a break. #3 The more you exercise the hungrier you will be so you may want to cut back on the tough workouts during your whole30. Do yoga, take a dance class, take a walk or take a nap. It's all good. Listen to your body it knows what you need. #4 Food. The goal is 3 meals a day. I can only do 3 meals and a snack. It's all good. Do what works for you. #5 Emotional Eating - This is tough. The whole30 is going to make you face emotions you didn't know you had. It's part of the process. When you detox your body you can also detox your mind. There will be days when you want to Kill All Things and other days when you want to give up. Try to think about why you are doing it and keep going. You can do it. Even if you just try one meal at a time. #6 Water. The recommendation is 1/2 oz of water for every lb of body weight each day. That is a lot of water and can help with cravings. #7 Remember day 10 is the day when most people quit. You got the flow going, maybe you are feeling better and so your brain says "Let's quit" #8 Gluten and Dairy are very addictive. You are probably going through withdrawals like a drug addict. They can be the same. Also your body wants that gluten and dairy so it is going to throw a fit until it gets what it wants. #9 You may need a gentler approach to this style of eating. Maybe cold turkey is too much. Check out Revive by Frank Lipman M.D. I hope you feel better. Good Luck.
