jschof
Is chicken sausage ok? I know it says you can have sausgae and Bacon, if its whole30 approved but to avoid it, but if its made from chicken is it ok? I really enjoy it in the morning with eggs, but I also dont want to be eating something that is not recomended, thoughts?
Robin Strathdee
Chicken (and pork and beef) sausage are fine as long as the ingredients are compliant
namtrag
look at the ingredients...if no added sugar, or other forbidden sweeteners, you may be ok.
jschof
The ingredients list is skinless chicken, contains 2% or less parsly, salt, fenal, red pepper, mustard, anise, peprika, in natural pork casing.

jschof
Thanks for the input Also is it ok to have often? I know it says to avoid sausage, but since its chicken does that change the rule?
Robin Strathdee
As long as you're varying your protein sources, don't worry too much about it.
namtrag
I found that, while the program is somewhat legalistic on what you must not have, it's very gentle on what you are allowed to have, as long as the ingredients are compliant. It's hard to distinguish between the two sometimes. There are very strict rules on one hand, so we tend to expect all the rules to be strict. Once you realize this, and that it's not a "diet," you can start enjoying it!
