omd21
Reading the ingredient list of my Paromi Tea "Cinnamon Chai" and I discovered the last two ingredients are: natural cinnamon oil natural vanilla oil What are these, are they safe?
Moderators Tom Denham Posted April 15, 2014 Moderators Share Posted April 15, 2014 I can't find much information on these "oils." I found a little on vanilla oil. One site says there is no such thing as natural vanilla oil, that anything labeled as such is synthetic. The concern we have for the Whole30 is whether the "oil" contains anything off plan such as soybean oil, alcohol, sugar alcohol, etc. This tea might be okay, but in the absence of better information, you should probably save it for after your Whole30. omd21
Thank you, Tom! I decided to not risk it and finding something else that's compliant.
MaryMoe
I think their Hibiscus Berry is good to go for the whole30! It's not chai (but really, what is?), but it's pretty flavorful. The only questionable thing on the list was "natural berry flavors."
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted July 21, 2015 Moderators Share Posted July 21, 2015 MaryMoe, 'natural berry flavors' would be okay.
