laurenmae04
I've always been one to drink plenty of water. I haven't changed the amount I've been drinking since starting Whole 30, but now I can't get through the night without peeing 2-3 times. I have been exhausted because I'm not getting good sleep, and its pretty frustrating. I don't want to cut back on the amount of water i'm drinking - probably about 10 cups a day. Is my body holding on to water in a different way now?
missmary
It's not uncommon to pee a lot more when your body is shedding inflammation (not related to water intake), but usually it subsides after a week or so. Excessive urination can also be a sign that you are not eating many carbs; eating more starchy carbs, particularly in the last meal of the day might help. Moderators LadyM Posted July 26, 2014 Moderators Share Posted July 26, 2014 You also might benefit from finishing drinking your day's water a few hours before you go to bed at night. Shift the timing rather than the amount.
