Maud
I want to know if Medjool Date are allowed in the Whole 30 programm. I'm in day 14 and I still have huge sugar cravings. Medjool Dates helps me a lot with that :-) Is it ok?
Renee Lee
They're technically allowed, but they're total sugar bombs, best to be used in emergencies only. While we ARE trying to beat the sugar demons and retrain the way you think about food, we are NOT trying to take all the fun out of eating. If dates help you from diving into a plate of cookies head first, then eat the dates...but try to limit 'em if you can
Derval
They are allowed BUT they are helping your craving by satisfying it, if you don't satisfy it the cravings will dissipate in time.

Moderators Tom Denham Posted August 14, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 14, 2012 The best thing to eat when you feel sugar cravings is protein and fat. Fill yourself up good and the cravings tend to disappear. Eating something sweet, even when it is fruit or dates, tends to keep the sugar cravings alive.
