TinaH
Hi! I'm on day 4 of my first Whole30 and I'm really pleased so far! I'm ready to try making some recipes now that I've gotten the daily routine of how to eat (breakfast within 1 hr of waking, no snacks, protein at every meal, and fat at every meal- wow, this life long dieter is really taking a leap of faith with all of this!) I love my timing for doing a Whole30 because it's becoming soup/stew season and I <3 my crockpot! I think I have a grasp on how to read labels, but need someone to verify that the chicken and beef broth I already have in my cupboard is compliant. Chicken broth - purified water, organic chicken flavor (from organic chicken), sea salt, organic onion powder, yeast extract, natural flavoring, organic flavoring, organic garlic powder organic turmeric. Beef broth - purified water, beef flavored stock concentrate (water, beef stock powder), sea salt, yeast extract, natural flavor, garlic powder, beef extract, onion powder. The yeast extract is the one I'm uncertain about. Thanks!
GFChris
Might want to stay away from yeast extract: http://forum.whole9life.com/topic/2989-yeast-extract/

Robin Strathdee
Clarification: Yeast extract isn't excluded, but for folks that have issues with MSG it can be an unpleasant experience. Some of us have no problems with it, though
