Ninalia
Is there anything to eat at a fair/festival or should I just pack snacks? (If I was doing low carb I would go for all meat but on whole 30 I worry about seasoning and msg.
missmary
If you can pack in food with you, that would be much better. Chances are good that no whole30 compliant food will be available.
CaGirl
We just had our county fair.. I ordered a burger with no bun..
Ninalia
Thanks! Burger sounds like a good idea but I think I'll pack it so I win't have an excuse to binge to start day 1 "tomorrow".
Susanrenee
We just had our county fair.. I ordered a burger with no bun.. I'd be too worried that this burger contained stuff other than actual beef. I know how difficult it is to find ready-made burgers in the shops without added ingredients and I'd be very surprised if I could find a burger at a fair which was compliant. I think maybe I over-thought my whole30

lrmooney
we just went to a wonderful one and had mexican food that was grilled in front of us, had shrimp tacos, no breading, and the cabbage topping, passed on the cream sauce, replaced it with diced tomato. I used the taco as a plate and ate off it I think if we go to the "normal food" first and then strip down the components that are non compliant we may have more interesting choices rather than the opposite
Delaine Ross
I also agree with packing to be safe. And make sure it's delicious so you won't miss the crap they are serving at the fair!
Deb.
Turkey leg, but I'd check what its been basted with, if anything. Fruit salad, as long as its just fruit. Always better to pack.
