IAmAndy
This morning, I had to go get some routine lab tests. A few hours later, I get a concerning call from my doctor. He informs me my liver function is about 10x normal and asked if I was on a drinking binge or taken a bottle of advil. Being on the whole30, I haven't been drinking and I haven't been taking any meds. Is there soemthing in the whole30 diet that could be causing this? Or perhaps my workouts? I'm scheduled for an ultrasound Monday and I'm sure that will comeback normal. I'm just wondering if anyone has seen something like this before? I'm a little worried as the doctor usually doesn't call personally.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted November 13, 2014 Moderators Share Posted November 13, 2014 What you are describing sounds scary, but not Whole30 or exercise related. I hope things turn out well.
Renee Lee
Andy, you posted this in the athletes section, but you didn't mention any activity before the tests. This isn't a typical reaction/problem related to Whole30 eating, but might have something to do with the type of activity/training you were doing. Hope it all works out! praxisproject
Make sure your doctor knows your activity levels, it could change the interpretation of your test results.
