StuffIMakeMyHusband
I'm eyeing both of these recipes, neither of which use any added sweetener Carrot "pudding": http://paleomg.com/s...t-cake-pudding/ (I would undoubtedly consider it SWYPO if it really made a pudding, but it seems that it's just mashed carrots with a fancy name) Carrot souffle: http://www.primal-pa...-revisited.html Would these be considered SWYPO? Or good to go?
Moderators Tom Denham Posted September 12, 2012 Moderators Share Posted September 12, 2012 I think either one is okay. The souffle recipe calls for coconut oil or grass fed butter. Grass fed butter must be clarified to be Whole30-compliant. Or you could use ghee.
Nancy H.
Oh Boy...two new recipes to add to my collection. Thanks a lot.
Meg Poore Tuttle
The souffle calls for coconut flour. . . I thought that was a no-no during whole30. It's just a tablespoon so could probably be omitted. The pudding looks delicious!!
Runningforme82
I think you can use coconut flour as a minimal ingredient, like for baking chicken, but not for things like making muffins.

Delaine Ross
Runningforme is correct. It's not that there is anything wrong with coconut flour. It's perfectly healthy as an ingredient. What you don't want to do is try to use it to create a "Whole30 version" of a dessert or something else you may have an unhealthy psychological addiction to (like the muffin mentioned:))
