Kevinb23
So, I overlooked some chicken wings tonight (it is dark early here in the N.East). I'm wondering if I can or should use them in a bone broth. They aren't charred but they are dark and the meat is dry. I hate to waste food so I figured I'd ask. I haven't been able to find anything about this online. Thanks in advance for your help. Kevin
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted December 29, 2016 Moderators Share Posted December 29, 2016 So they taste okay other than being dry? Not noticeably burnt tasting or anything? If they taste okay aside from the texture, I'd think it would be okay to use them in broth. I'm definitely not an expert, but I think in the circumstances, I'd probably go ahead and use them. If they tasted burnt I probably wouldn't -- that's not a flavor you want to impart to your broth and anything you may use the broth in.
Bellmaestra
If they aren't burned, I would definitely use them for stock! A little brown-ness is always a good thing. Stephanie
