DrewB
Has anyone ever experienced blood in your urine from excercise? I never had but today I did 15 miles and when I got home I was alarmed to see bloody urine, and it wasn't just a little. After doing a little google research I learned this can happen with vigorous excercise. I've ran several half marathons and have never had this happen. Could it be a result of the Whole30? Has anyone ever experienced this?
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted January 15, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 15, 2017 No, this is likely not a symptom of Whole30. There's nothing about eating protein, fats and veggies that is going to give you bloody urine. Please see a doctor.
DrewB
I know that, I just wasn't sure if anyone else had experienced it. And I didn't know if a change in diet could have any impact. From what I read it's just something that can happen with vigorous excercise.
AL-30
Blood in your urine is not normal no matter what you do. You need to go see your Doctor.
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted January 15, 2017 Moderators Share Posted January 15, 2017 It's definitely blood? You haven't eaten a bunch of beets lately or anything that would cause discoloration that looks like blood? Even if this is a thing that happens sometimes to people who run, I would check in with a doctor just to rule out any serious issues.
mdjess86
Dr here, you should go to a Dr, there are a few tests that need to be run, but you are correct, vigorous exercise and muscle breakdown can make you urine discolored. But there are other things it could be too, so it should be checked out.
