Georgia Buchanan
Had some Tyrrell's Beetroot chips with my dinner tonight and not sure if that was allowed? Ingredients were Beetroot, sunflower oil and salt....so technically okay, but still in the 'processed food category.'
whitjm5
Sunflower oil is a no-go. http://forum.whole9l...e30-my-results/ Sorry. :-(
kb0426
I have read a variety of opinions on the sunflower oil. Of bigger concern is that these are a potato chip substitution. I could easily eat a whole bag. That in itself would make it a no go for me.
Robin Strathdee
Sunflower oil is still technically compliant, but I would be cautious of these as a sub for potato chips. Treading in dangerous waters there )
Georgia Buchanan
Thanks! It was a situation where I didn't plan well and was starving with not a whole lot of options. I'm not a huge savory person, so I'm not too worried about trying to substitute for potato chips...but definitely aware now that anything processed (or slightly processed) just doesn't make me feel satisfied. No more veggie chips for me!

GFChris
I have found a similar product called Terra chips that they have in sweet potato. are those ok? No, sorry. No commercially prepared chips are allowed on a Whole30. This was declared by the Hartwigs back in July of 2014, two years after this thread was created. Details here.
