karamarie117
Hey! I am about to embark on my first Whole30 starting February First with my fiance. We purchased a "greens" powder to add extra veggies and what not to our diet, and i just realized it has "oat grass" "barley grass" and "wheat grass" in the ingredients... i know oats, wheat, barley, etc are OUT for whole 30, but what about their grasses in powder form? thanks so much! Administrators ladyshanny Posted January 22, 2018 Administrators Share Posted January 22, 2018 The grasses are fine but check the ingredients for added sweeteners including monk fruit. I would be surprised if your powder had no sweeteners in it at all.
karamarie117
thank you so much for your quick response! turns out the powder somehow contains milk and soy!?!? so its out anyway are there any "superfood greens powders" that ARE whole30 approved? amazing grass, etc? Administrators ladyshanny Posted January 22, 2018 Administrators Share Posted January 22, 2018 Surprisingly yes, the Original Amazing Grass is compliant. We don't really recommend these sorts of products though, we really encourage folks to just eat real food and put aside these types of things for a month. See how you feel when you eat real foods in quantities to support your health and activity.
