Pamperedmindy
I’m starting to get sick and was wondering if I could have elderberry juice even tho it has honey in it. I’ve been sick for about 5 days and don’t know what to take that’s natural
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted March 8, 2018 Moderators Share Posted March 8, 2018 No. If you found just elderberry juice with no honey, you could have that. Assuming this is a cold, there are various teas that might help depending on your symptoms -- I know there's a Throat Coat tea that is compliant, if you have a sore throat. There are teas for coughs and other symptoms too. In general, drinking warm tea, broth, or even hot water with lemon and/or ginger in it can be comforting and help you feel better. If you think you might have the flu, or even if it's not the flu but it's not going away or is getting worse, you might want to contact your doctor to see what they recommend. kirbz
Buddha Teas make an elderberry tea that is compliant that I can find in my local grocery store. The ingredients are nothing but organic elderberry. Perhaps something like that would be an option?
