DonnaGail
I saw at the grocery store that all the hash browns have sugar so I bought a bag of potatoes to make my own, which I am doing as we speak. I am noticing they are turning color before I can even get them in the freezer. Wanted to shred some for future use. Any suggestions as to what to add to keep them from turning brown or pick before I put them in a freezer bag?
SchrodingersCat
If you store them in water, they won't go brown - you'll just need to squeeze them dry in paper towel before using or freezing
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted June 13, 2019 Moderators Share Posted June 13, 2019 Google freezing hashbrowns, I turned up a couple of different methods. I've never done it so I don't know if one is better than the other, but you could pick the one that seems reasonable to you, or split everything in half and do some by each method and see which turns out better. DonnaGail
They were actually turning as fast as I could shred them. I will check out google. Thanks!
