Tiff
Hi Folks, I atesome scallops I cooked in Kerrygold thinking it was ok to use since it comes from grass-fed cows, but forgot that it needed to be clarified. Does this mean I need to start my Whole30 over? This has been my only mistake thus far and i'm on day 10. Thanks in advance!
Carolyn Koron Parise
From what I have read it is usually recommended to just add a day at the end so you can recover from the milk products. Not a catastrophe though
Susan W
Dairy is one of the big deals so I will let a moderator say whether you should start over. I imagine you ended up with very little dairy in you unless you cooked the scallops in 8 oz and drank the butter. Either way, if they say you should start over, just add days to the end of your 30 days so it feels less discouraging.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted January 26, 2013 Moderators Share Posted January 26, 2013 The milk proteins in the butter could cause trouble. The only way to know for sure is to go 30 days without exposure. Twenty days (the balance of your Whole30) might be enough to tell, but maybe not. I'd say see how you are feeling in 20 days and then go another 10 just to be sure.
