So I came across this fella

http://www.buzzfeed.com/rachelysanders/easy-one-tray-oven-dinners

a little while ago, and it struck me how many of these recipies are only an ingredient or two away from being compliant, and that the whole point of them is that they're super easy!

Has anyone tried these or a is a fan of one tray oven dinners?

Also good to see something so...templatey? as their recommendation for the base of the recipes (protien+veg+fat)

I love that concept. In fact, I've created a lot of "skillet roasted" meals that follow that template. Dozens in fact if you search through the recipe index of my site.

Mine is a simple template: Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Pre-heat cast iron skillet on stove top. Sear meat on both sides. Add veggies. Cover and roast in oven for 30 minutes. Eat!

Me likey!

I did lamb chops on top of sliced turnip and sweet potato once.

I also usually surround my chicken with root veg too.
