Whipple
I'm looking for starchy veggies that aren't sweet. All I can think of is sweet potatoes and pumpkin/winter squashes. But all of those are more on the sweet side. What else is there?
Nadia B
Parsnips, rutabagas, beets, turnips. I feel that none of them are too sweet. Check this list out. Note 1 potatoes are included there, but NOT compliant for Whole30. Note 2 - skip the carb info and don't try to count.

Derval
Plantains are my new favourite I wouldn't have thought they were available in uk or ireland - I must start looking!
annabel
Tesco has them here-- but their stock varies a lot depending on the ethnicity of the area. Unfortunately, the Irish Tesco website doesn't appear to list them.

Kirsteen
Hi Derval, I found them first in Whole Foods and I was schlepping all the way there to get them, then on Saturday I went out hunting for bread for my son (yes I know but he's on the autistic spectrum and there's only 6 foods he eats and bread is one of them but has to be Warburton's Toastie) Anyway, I found this funny little African grocers in a side street and when I went in doing my nosy, I found plantains . I also found lots of dried fish (a bit niffy) and 2 large freezers full of large unidentified bits of meat. I've no idea what cut or even what animal and the owner's English isn't great but I may get brave and try some
Derval
Yeah there are African grocers on the north side of the city centre, but I'm out in the burbs on the south side.
Kirsteen
Ah, I live in a really multi ethnic area. there are apparantly 31 languages spoken in our street alone and it's a small street. I love it
