Elliottsmama
I know snacks aren't encouraged. I'm on day 3 and haven't felt the need for one until this afternoon. I think my lunch wasn't quite filling enough. Assuming it's only an occasional thing, do you allow yourself a snack? I'm not just craving because I'd be fine with having chicken or steak or something. If you know you are actually hungry and not just craving, do you have a snack? If so, what is considered a good snack? Snacky food like fruit and nuts or a mini meal? Dinner is in a couple hours, but I don't think I can make it that long. I'm really hungry. Moderators LadyM Posted May 6, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 6, 2013 Go for a balanced mini meal. It's most likely not to throw off your blood sugar and keep you on the fat adapted path.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted May 6, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 6, 2013 Absolutely eat if you are hungry. A common snack for me is a can of sardines and some cold sauerkraut straight from the jar.
