mquitko
Eating veggies is easy for me, I'm a veggie lover but today while grocery shopping I was trying to think of a veggie I had never tried. I realized I do not believe I've ever had Turnips. So I bought a small one today and I'm looking for ideas of what to do with it. Anyone a turnip lover who wants to share their favorite recipe? Or a hater and want to warn me? lol
GFChris
Get a couple additional friends for the turnip and make this for breakfast: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/primal-breakfast-casserole/#axzz2xTtPt1Zu
Bet
I use them as replacements for potatoes in stews. They absorb a lot of flavor and keep their shape. They are a bit tangy, but good.

Khhdesign
My favorite winter roasted veggie mix is turnips, parsnips and sweet potatoes.
Clare_S
You can dice and boil with carrots, then mash together. A childhood staple that!
mangio_bene
I have oven roasted them with olive oil and herbs. Also I've mashed them like potatoes.
LisaLulu
I made those scalloped turnips (slightly modified, used some of my own leftover spice mix and baked them covered in foil in the oven instead of a skillet). Oh my goodness, I actually licked my plate. Nobody else liked them but MORE FOR ME!!! In the past I've only had mashed turnip which was okay but not enough to get excited about. Tina R
Peel and chop them with some carrots. Boil until tender, drain and mash them with ghee, salt and pepper. Enjoy!
