sethro5hc
So this past weekend I decided to make some chicken wings. The only ingredients were: chicken wings (obviously) clarified butter salt and pepper Frank's hot sauce (just red cayenne peppers and vinegar) I baked them in the oven. I swear that they tasted just as good as regular fried wings. In fact, they tasted so good that I was actually worried that something about it went against the rules of Whole30. Has anybody ever had this happen? Something tasted so good that you thought it must be against the rules? Is this a case of "paleoifying" a junk food? I bake chicken all the time with hot sauce or different spices, and I know that is compliant so I thought this would be the same but the result just seemed "too good". Physibeth
Nothing wrong with healthy food tasting really good. As long as eating them didn't trigger a desire to eat junk food you are good to go.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted June 16, 2014 Moderators Share Posted June 16, 2014 Just remember that the fat to meat ratio of wings is kind of high. When it comes to consuming protein, other parts of the bird offer more.

snowflower
Has anybody ever had this happen? Something tasted so good that you thought it must be against the rules? YES! Every time I eat a sweet potato. And turnip hash. And fried plantains with cinnamon. Pork shoulder. Beef tenderloin. Coffee with coconut milk.
