tessita86
Has anyone read Practical Paleo? I'm wondering if it is worth the purchase. I have ISWF so I'm wondering if I should even bother with getting the book but am looking for something with more recipes. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Derval
I'd love to hear too, esp as it so expensive.
Renee Lee
The message and general content is going to be the same, but Diane slants her explanations in a different way, with a focus on different areas. I think her "get off the couch and start this now" protocol is also different from M&D's. Her recipes DO look good, though...but I don't plan on buying her book just for that. Make it Paleo, Paleo Comfort Foods and Well Fed are great cookbooks, and I think Paleo OMG and Nom Nom Paleo are both working on their own cook books right now. It's up to you, though! jhmomi
Renee - I love Make It Paleo. It's such a beautiful book. I think it's fun to show non-Paleo folks when they roll their eyes at the thought of giving up bread. To me it's Food Porn! Nom Nom Paleo is awesome too. I love her Watermelon Gazpacho. jrustdc
I have ISWF and Well Fed and I *love* Practical Paleo. I hate how much I have spent on all three but am really glad I've got them. Practical Paleo was worth it for me because of the 30 day meal plans for different health issues, which are a concern in our house. If you don't have that, the value might be less, but I still like the different resources and different ways things are presented. Plus, with those specific meal plans and the discussions of different health concerns (including athletic performance, so not just ailments) I can see lending the book to lots of friends if they are interested in exploring Paleo. gatork
I'm planning to buy Practical Paleo (and give copies to family members...who already have ISWF because I gave copies of that already) because of the 30 day meal plans. (I don't have a need for the meal plans, but I think some people love having every single meal set out for them, and all of the exact shopping lists, etc.)
