Sarahsaenz1
I have a slight allergy to eggs... But I love them and eat them all the time. Is this a food item I should give up (even though allowed in whole 30) to see if this is one causing inflammation?
GFChris
I think you answered your own question. You could either continue to eat eggs and see how you do, or drop them for 30 days and then have them as one of your items to reintroduce and test when you're done. praxisproject
If you decide to reintroduce them, you may want to try a variety of eggs during your Reintroduction. I thought I was allergic for awhile, but it seems to be the kind of egg. Cage eggs (aka the cheap ones) seem to make me itchy and a bit uncomfortable. I have no reaction to organic free range eggs, so I think it might be something they feed them.
Sarahsaenz1
Thank you! I guess I will cut them out and the reintroduce to see how I do! I will also make sure that I check to see if I react differently to different types of eggs. I appreciate the help. Better safe than sorry! praxisproject
Some people who can't have eggs like to browse the AIP recipes, as they are egg free, but a lot of blogs make note of egg free recipes.
CaseyD
I also have a slight allergy to eggs. A while back, I experimented with removing them and out of the blue this nagging hip pain I experience at night (that no doctor really ever figured out) magically disappeared. So now, I'll eat them in mayo sometimes, but there is a threshold (number of times) I can do that before the hip pain comes back. That is something I'm willing to play with because I like tuna salad so much.Just a thought, you never know what your mild allergy is doing in your body!
