IAmMackAttack
I've been waking up insanely thirsty. Is this a "change" like how I now wake up hungry? I'm on day 19. I don't drink coffee, I drink lots of water during the day but when I wake up I'm like "OMG someone give me a keg of of H2O!"
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted July 1, 2016 Moderators Share Posted July 1, 2016 What is 'lots' of water? Our recommendation is 1/2oz of water per pound of body weight. As your body detoxes, it's not that uncommon to be thirsty...
MeadowLily
Before anyone experiences extreme thirst, they're already dehydrated. Staying hydrated is very important during hot, summer days. Remind the older folkaronies, too. Help them get their water pitchers ready for the day and evening.
NoMoreCrunchyCravings
I wake up thirsty, no matter how much water I've had to drink the day before, if I've had salted foods with dinner. Maybe what you ate the night before was saltier than you're used to? If so, it can be a hard balance with trying to drink adequate fluids and not having to wake up all night long to urinate! Staggolee41
I experienced some of this after the nights I was up running to the bathroom to pee 1-5 times a night. Seemed like it was a part of my body stabilizing after upping my water intake. I still wake up a little thirsty, but not nearly as bad.
