Busy Working Mom
How many eggs is too many? I've been eating about 4-5 a day - 3 for breakfast, 1 with lunch (sometimes), and 1 for PWO. It's just such a convenient protein! I know new research says it's ok to have a few a day, but how many is ok?
Moderators SugarcubeOD Posted November 1, 2016 Moderators Share Posted November 1, 2016 That's fine, eggs aren't the evil that the media and conventional (old) wisdom would suggest they are.
Busy Working Mom
Do you know if there's research on that? I know whole30'has amazing benefits but I'm worried I'm hurting myself in other ways....

hmg1993
@Busy Working Mom If it helps ... I now eat 3-4 eggs per day and like you was worried about the effects. I've always had good cholesterol and wanted to keep it that way. I had my blood work done recently and while my cholesterol was still low, my good cholesterol levels had risen significantly. My Dr's view was to keep doing what I'm doing (I now eat much more healthy fat too having been a low fat person for a long time). Everyone is different and has different chemistry and reactions so maybe check yourself next time you have a physical, but from my perspective this diet is extremely healthy. Busy Working Mom
Thanks @hmg1993. My cholesterol has been borderline high since I'm a kid (and that's with a low fat, vegetarian diet) so I'm a little worried. Blood work is a great idea. Karen_Suep
@Busy Working Mom - my understanding is that dietary cholesterol doesn't affect cholesterol. Basically blood cholesterol shows inflammation in your body and there could be any number of reasons it is elevated, including genetics. My blood cholesterol is a little elevated, even after w30 so i and my doc are guessing that genetics may be involved
