DurhamDoesPaleo
I made this amazing soup over the weekend (https://thedomesticman.com/2016/08/02/tomato-basil-soup/) with olive oil and coconut milk, so it's totally compliant (and flippin' delicious). But even though this is my 3rd or 4th Whole30, I'm totally at a loss as to what to eat with it on the side for dinner tonight. I ate it for lunch the other day, so I didn't really need a side. Thanks, all!
jmcbn
Chicken wings, meat balls, pork chop, some kind of steak........ I'd keep it pretty simple.
MeadowLily
Yesterday, we made french onion soup with beef broth. Baked potato and a steak. Baked potatoes are great with a soup. Split your potato and add steamed or roasted vege on top, add your favorite topping like clarified kerry gold butter or other compliant sauce. Soups and salads pair nicely. Just make sure there's enough protein to go along with it.
kruddock
The other thing I like to add to my soups, especially thai-type soup is cauliflower rice, making sure it is a little firm, not mushy by roasting the cauliflower in the oven before hand. rhed
That sounds really good! I'd be tempted to toss some chicken thighs (or breasts) in the soup as it cooks. I also like jmcbn's idea of meatballs alongside.
