Renee
So, Civilized Caveman just posted a new recipe... http://civilizedcavemancooking.com/crockpot/apple-pumpkin-butter/ It doesn't involve almond or coconut flour for baked goods, but I'm not 100% sure I can eat it. The ingredients are compliant, but it looks so decadent... Note that, while I'm not craving "conventional" dessert, I would love some recipes that are Whole30-approved. I also don't eat or feel like I need dessert everyday.
Susan W
I think if you served it as a side dish with a meal, it would be fine. If you literally use it as an after dinner treat, then yes, SWPO...IMHO.
kb0426
I agree with slw600, but know that instead of eating it with my meal, I would be saving it for the end, and it would be a gateway drug for my sugar dragon to latch on to. Sounds great, but my opinion is to save it for post whole30. But I say that because that is how I would treat it. If you can treat it differently, go for it! It would be delicious at Thanksgiving! melbournegirl
I have been avoiding fruit post WO as per what I thought I read in the meal template???? Is it okay? Always? Sometimes? Only when?
Robin Strathdee
You don't want to go sugar heavy, and fruit alone isnt a good post w/o snack. But pumpkin is an excellent source of starchy carbs and paired with a good protein source this would be fine.
