Administrators ladyshanny Posted July 11, 2017 Administrators Share Posted July 11, 2017 What are you wanting to do with it? Grate it up and put it in some chili? Sure. Eat it straight? No. Melt it and dip fruit it it, mix it with coconut milk or chia pudding or any other "sweet treat" style item? No. Chocolate such as cocoa or cacao is permitted to be used in savoury applications such as a chocolate chili or a chocolate/coffee meat rub. That's it. misshannah
@ladyshanny can you clarify? Even though it has sugar in its list of ingredients it could still be used to cook with?
slc_melissa
No added sugar! In anything! (I didn't see the sugar the first time I read the list, because I've not seen Demerara sugar before. Great, one more thing to store in the brain.)
Administrators ladyshanny Posted July 11, 2017 Administrators Share Posted July 11, 2017 Oh, haha, that one caught me too! Ya, no sugar at all! Cocoa and cacao are ok to use in savoury cooking. Sorry for the neglect on that one, @misshannah!
