Meg jelly fish sounds exactly right. Do you have a cell phone with a camera? If so, it is so easy to snap a photo of Scooby and post it right from your camera.

Derv you may want to wait a while only because you will have a brew that happens faster with 2 working SCOBYs. Just a thought. Or if someone is waiting for it, you can give that one away and you'll have another in no time.

Sophie did you show Frank that pretty SCOBY? She's a hottie. Robin hasnt answered my hibiscus question yet. I think mixing it with green or black tea is perfect.

Also Meg..when it's 11pm est, it's only 8pm my time. I am known to be awake at odd times though.

I loved mango in my booch. I had the most fab over ripe mango when I did it. I think I mixed it with ginger? Yes Robin lurves her hibiscus booch. She posted a pic on FB. It was very red and pretty.

Okay..I have one 2 litre jar that is now officially designated as vinegar. Daughter is "over booch" right now (please) and I gifted my trainer with his own SCOBY so I went from "what about me" to "what the heck will I do with all of this booch".

Lizz do you let your vinegar booch go longer at first ferment? I am ending up with WAY too much booch all of a sudden.

It's okay. There are over 500 posts in this thread. Very hard to pick out the answer you need without a table of contents. :0) We were all nervous nellys at first.

Okay, I just read FAQs on KombuchaKamp. Someone asked Hannah if using Earl Gray is okay. She said because of bergamot oil, they used to avoid it, but no longer. She uses Earl Gray and green tea because she said the green tea cuts the bitterness of that oil. I say just go for it. Not sure about the lemongrass green tea. Maybe save that for flavoring?

You know..I was shocked when I heard Earl Grey wasn't okay. Isn't it just black tea? What does the ingredients list say?
