  1. Maple Syrup is not compliant with the program.  What are you wanting to use a sweetener for? if it's for baking or making desserts, there is no alternative as recreating baked goods and sweets is not compatible with the program.

  2. We always recommend that if you are eating more of something than you normally do and having unpleasant and unwanted side effects, to throttle back or eliminate the item of concern and see if that helps.

The symptoms you report can also be from eating a LOT of uncooked cruciferous veg and leafy greens so that's something to think about as well.

  3. Blood sugar is generally well regulated on the Whole30 so it would be our recommendation not to take supplements like these; however, if your doctor is involved in suggesting/prescribing this then dr orders trump whole 30.

  4. Aw geez, sorry you're not feeling well!

My first question would be to ask if you are eating enough. Are you following the meal template for all three meals and also having mini meals or snacks if you are working out or going more than 4-6 hours between meals?

The meal template calls for veggies, protein and fat at every meal and we also remind participants to make sure you're salting your food.

Maybe we can start with you listing out what you've been eating in the last little while and how that matches up to the meal template and see if we can make some tweaks.

No one here is a doctor tho so if you are very concerned for your mental health, reaching out to your provider is encouraged.

  5. I think you might have to fabricate some sort of list - Most of the straight veggie recipes would work and most things with eggs would work if they eat eggs but you're going to be cooking/preparing different proteins - you could probably get away with an egg based breakfast that suits you both.  Maybe do some sort of deluxe salad that you can each add protein to for lunches and then for dinner, eat the same sides and the different proteins.

I don't know where else to report this...I'm a long-time Whole30 devotee who's just starting a plant-based cycle (so excited to finally see this come to pass!!!).  While looking at the recipes, I noticed that the recipe for the plant-based 7 layer dip has a couple of significant errors.  It references taco seasoning one place in the instructions, but the list of ingredients doesn't include that item.  Also, the amount of pico de gallo is listed as 11 cups (oops???).  Maybe someone can go in and review/edit that recipe?  :-)

Thank you in advance for sending this note on to whomever can make corrections.... :-)

Uh oh!  Okay, can you provide a link to the recipe? We have cookbooks, Instagram, Facebook, Forum recipes and then the entire community of people who post Whole30 compatible recipes that we don't have any control over, so it's hard to know where to look for this one :)
