srice11
For this Whole30, I eliminated three compliant foods in order to improve my digestion: eggs, nuts, and apples. I am planning to reintroduce eggs first. Is it wise to reintroduce egg yolks first, then egg whites? Also, any suggestions for ways to prepare just egg yolks? Moderators Tom Denham Posted August 26, 2013 Moderators Share Posted August 26, 2013 Some people react to egg whites while reacting less or little to yolks. You might introduce yolks alone and see how well you tolerate them specifically. I've never worked with just yolks, so don't have any recipe or cooking ideas. I guess you can scramble yolks and you could boil eggs, eat the yolks and give the egg whites to a dog or cat.
amberino21
You can make mayo with just yolks, or custard (with coconut milk/cream?)....but eating the yolk of HB eggs might be easiest
Physibeth
I had yolks left over from a recipe that called for just whites and I whipped them up and made an omelette with them. I did add one whole egg but I think it would have worked anyway.
srice11
Awesome! For some reason, I had it in my head that a yolk scramble/omelette would be crumbly like the inside of a HB egg.
pjena
My egg allergic son can eat yolks. I usually just fry them up with a little salt and pepper. I 2nd the yolk only mayo suggestion, too.

Giving more thought to this...I did add some water to that mix too. If you can do coconut I but coconut milk mixed in would make something nice and fluffy as well. SpinSpin
My grandmother used to just poach the yolks for my grandfather--and you could make holindaise with just yolks.
