Holly Beltran
I wanted to bread my chicken breast with almond flour. Is that ok to do during the whole30? Thank you
Jennyebn
As long as the ingredients are just almonds, I believe it is fine.
Andrea D.
I've read other posts saying this isn't technically paleo-fying a dish unless you are addicted to fried chicken and just trying to substitute a healthier version of an off-plan food. I personally use almond flour or coconut flour to lightly "bread" things...
Robin Strathdee
Andrea's right. If you're doing it because you're really jonesing some KFC, tread carefully. However, that's not usually the case so you should be just fine ;0)
jbasel31
Where do ya'll get almond flour from??
Johnny M
lots of health food stores sell it. I've made my own by pulsing almonds in a food processor. As it becomes fine, put it through a flour sifter. Whatever doesn't fall through goes back in the food processor to further grind it. Don't grind too long though...that's how you make almond butter. It's kind of a pain but i've done it in a pinch.
Adagio
I buy Honeyville from amazon. Trader Joe's has almond meal and you can process it finer. Bob's Red Mill is sold at Whole Foods
Wordlvr
I get mine from Honeyville Farms and nuts.com. Elana, of Elana's Pantry (elanaspantry.com), is the goddess of almond flour and she likes these and a few others better than Bob's Red Mill because they are not only blanched but also finer.
