namtrag
Went to Trader Joes and saw some coffee called Coffee and Cocoa. Ingredients were coffee, unsweetened cocoa, and chocolate fudge oil. Compliant?
homerfrizzell
My guess would be no way.
namtrag
I googled it to no avail! I wonder what it even is?
Bet
I don't know what it is, but I want some.
praxisproject
I don't know what that is, but it doesn't sound like food or a proper food label. Fudge is made out of whatever you put in it (eg. chocolate, oil), referring to fudge oil is a recursive ingredient. Ask Trader Joe's for a translation PS. I expect in this context, this means some kind of sugar.
namtrag
Found this on a Facebook page called the TQI diet. Someone had asked about it there. Response from Trader Joe's..........Thank you for contacting us! In response, the ingredient "Chocolate Fudge Oil" used in our Trader Joe's Coffee a Cocoa is a natural oil that is derived from cocoa in a fudge form. There are no sugars or other ingredients used to produce this ingredient. March 14 at 3:36pm · Edited · Like ·
homerfrizzell
I still say no. And even if it is technically compliant it has to be swypo.
Mom2A&M
I think it just flavored coffee, no big deal. IMO. No different than adding cocoa, coconut oil, ghee, etc.

No different than adding cocoa, coconut oil, ghee, etc. It is not like the General Foods International Coffee. It's ground coffee, and I believe it's as Mom2A&M says. From what I read in reviews, it's less cholcolatey than many people expected.

Robin Strathdee
I'm going to lean toward saying this is fine. It doesn't sound like a sweetener of any sort - more like cocoa butter - to me.
