Kate Winter
I just found that a co-op near my house has delicious kombucha on tap! However, does anyone know if I get the same probiotic benefits if there's no visible scoby in my bottle after I pour it from the tap? Thanks! GFChris
I don't know the answer to your question, but I would first confirm their kombucha is compliant (no added sugar post-ferment).

missmary
you don't really want to drink the SCOBY anyway...just check ingredients as Chris suggests, and you should be fine.
jessilynn76
As someone who has a continuous brew going for the last year, and had access to a microscope, I can affirm that there is microbial action going on in the brew. Trust me, just because you can't see it with your naked eye doesn't mean it's not there. Hope that helps! And yes, you don't really want to drink/eat SCOBY either. It's not bad for you, just not that appetizing.

jjo
Does anyone make ginger bug / ginger beer? I started fermenting mine today, but couldn't find anything about it in searches.
