It's hard to know without just trying it and seeing but we discourage just drinking glasses of any milk substitute or juices/smoothies.  Food that you drink sends different satiety signals to your brain than food that you chew.  Coconut milk is fine for coffee/tea, curries and other cooking uses.  Try a little bit in your coffee/tea and see how you go.

People with IBS tend to do much better keeping an eye on FODMAPs.   All coconut products (except for oil) are on the "be careful" list.  So my best advice is to proceed with caution.
