GFChris
Sashimi (just fish, no rice or roll) without soy sauce or tamari is the optimum way to go. If they have seaweed salad, make sure it doesn't contain soy sauce or sugar.

GFChris
I would avoid wasabi - it can have non-compliant ingredients in it.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted February 10, 2014 Moderators Share Posted February 10, 2014 It has been a few years since I had sushi. I remember the fish and the green tea. Most sauces would not be okay because soy is so pervasive. I don't remember any vegetables.
Juice06870
other than, or along with sashimi, you can check to see if the chef makes rolls without rice. My local place makes 'naruto' rolls, where it's wrapped in cucumber along with avocado and/or Roe. They can do it with salmon, tuna, eel (make sure no sauce on the eel). Asparagus is also an alternative to avodado... And just be sure you bring along a bottle of coconut aminos to dip your fish into since you can't use soy sauce. It's also decent as a salad dressing in place of the dressings the sushi places use.
Jinkse21
I have ordered regular sushi rolls asking them to hold the rice and they are actually really good! My favorite is with yellowtail, asparagus, avocado, and green onion. Yum! For sashimi, I love to it with the shredded daikon radish the serve with it and sometimes ask for more.
