SMcClellan
Hi, just finished my first Whole30 and introduced gluten today. Sprouted grain toast this morning at breakfast. No immediate issues but by 6pm this evening, stomach ache, bloating, gas, nausea and general feeling ill. This was a familiar stomach ache, but one that I didn't have at all during my Whole30. Would the impact have that type of delay? Thanks for any advice you may have.
Administrators ladyshanny Posted January 5, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 5, 2016 Absolutely it can! Watch your mood and emotions over the next day or so also and see if you notice anything. You could then eat Whole30 for a few days until you feel good again and then test the gluten again if you wanted so you could be sure.
Brewer5
Definitely. Gluten is bad news.
praxisproject
If you feel sick for a bit, you might want to hold off introducing anything else until you feel settled again.
bpaitsel
From personal experience, you can have symptoms from gluten exposure immediately or even two days later - that is usually when mine are the worst! The symptoms can linger for a good while too depending on your system.
