shelley417
Is there a Whole 30 recommended toothpaste?
Moderators Tom Denham Posted September 25, 2012 Moderators Share Posted September 25, 2012 No. We assume you will rinse and spit it all out. Seriously, your brand of toothpaste probably matters a little to your overall health, but it's not food, so it is not a big concern.
shelley417
Thanks. I have never read the ingredients of toothpaste but when I did I got a little grossed out. I wear aligners so I brush my teeth many times a day. I do spit it out!

Laura Bass Berry
We make our own with coconut oil, baking soda, mint essential oil, and a little stevia. Teeth have NEVER looked or felt better. And yeah, you spit it out.
quotidianlight
I swear by essential oxygen tooth brush rinse. It's a liquid you brush with. Antibacterial, whitening without being abrasive and got rid of my son's gingivitis. I highly recommend it. http://www.amazon.com/Brushing-Rinse-Peppermint-4-Ounces/dp/B0041V1E1I
CaGirl
Just Curious what kinds of Toothpaste most are using. I'm still using Crest Pro Health but its tasting really nasty.. Can hardly stand it.
Vian
I use this recipe to make my own I haven't been to a dentist in 3 years, but my teeth are less sensitive to cold, and my gums don't hurt or bleed when I floss anymore (I've also been flossing at least once a day, so that's probably helping)
BillS
I'm a fan of Waleda Salt Toothpaste. I prefer it over the super sweet typical brands. That said, I use it at night or during the day. In the morning I use something with a little fluoride. (and no, I don't want to start a big fluoride debate here.)
toriellie
FYI, almost ALL toothpaste has carageenan in it! Why, I have no idea. I was actually on a mission yesterday at Natural Grocers to find some without, and I found three out of probably 20 brands. I've been using the Himalaya, which I really like, but I recently read the ingredients and, yes folks, carageenan again! I even found carageenan in the canned dogfood I buy - and it's not a grocery store brand, either. It's a more expensive "natural" brand. WTH? look_alive
I love the Eco-Dent Daily Care Tooth Powder. Feels so clean afterwards! Comes in different flavors and no sweeteners or dyes. Eco-Dent Tooth Powder
