almondjoyless
I bought a jar and have been eyeing it warily. I like them in salads, sort of, but is there anything beyond "chopped up at room temperature"?
Moderators ShannonM816 Posted October 3, 2016 Moderators Share Posted October 3, 2016 Try googling Whole30 heart of palm recipes and see what you find. A quick search did find this old discussion with one recipe for a hummus-like dip made from them. Most of the options were salads, though.
almondjoyless
Thanks Shannon. I had tried googling and didn't have a lot of luck, so I thought I'd poke my head in here. The dip looks interesting; I'll check it out.
SpunkyBug
I don't know about that other dip, but this one is amazing: http://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/hearts-of-palm-dip I like to eat it with red bell pepper strips. Since that sounds kind of snacky, please do so along with some protein for a meal. After your Whole30 it makes a healthy appetizer for parties that everyone can enjoy! Raven
I clicked this post because the title read "What can I do with hearts..." I was hoping for recipes involving ruminant hearts! Darn.
