LMT_582
I poured a bit into a container to have on my salad at lunch today and I didn't read the ingredients...now I'm at work and can't seem to find it online and I don't want to mess up on Day 1... I know fresh lemons are the best option, but is bottled lemon juice acceptable or no?
nutmegananne
I'm pretty sure it has preservatives in it...was it the RealLemon brand?
jhmomi
Whole Foods 365 Organic Lemon and Lime Juices are both preservative free. Worth the price for the convenience to me.
Moderators Tom Denham Posted September 24, 2012 Moderators Share Posted September 24, 2012 Some bottled lemon and lime juice is just pure lemon or lime. I keep bottles in my refrigerator and use it all the time. Lots of bottled juice is full of preservatives, so watch out for them.
Robin Strathdee
Chances are, you're not going to run into anything that will necessitate a restart. Enjoy it and then take a look at the label later for future reference.
LMT_582
Thanks! I'm pretty sure I cheaped out and bought generic, so I'll check the label when I get home!
SamL
I know this is super old,but I can't find a newer thread. The lemon and limes juices we normally use say "Ingredients:organic lemon juice" and "Ingredients:Organic lime juice" these are fine? I never see anyone mention using bottled juices...I know the fresh fruit is better, but still..
Administrators ladyshanny Posted January 20, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 20, 2016 If those are the only ingredients, it's fine. The "Realemon" brand of lemon and lime juice contain sulphites so those would not be permitted.

We used to years ago before learning about additives,preservatives,etc..being label readers has made this somewhat easier for us,but it doesn't help the cravings lol
