kew
This tea tastes sweet, but the website says it contains no added sugar. I haven't picked up the phone to ask if it contains artificial sweeteners. Does anyone know the scoop about this (delicious) tea? http://www.harney.com/hot-cinnamon-spice-tea.html
Robin Strathdee
I'd give them a call and ask about added sweeteners, including stevia leaf.
kew
I bit the bullet and called, and they said no sweetener of any kind: it's just the cinnamon that makes it sweet. (I pretty much hate talking to strangers on the phone, which is why I was hoping another forum user might know the answer already....)

I'm the same kew - I actually emailed my favourite cafe asking what was in a hot cocoa drink that I always have there. They were very lovely when they replied, but if I'd had to ring...I'd still be left wondering!
scrapstitching
That tea sounds delightful. I picked up some cinnamon/orange/spice tea and am enjoying it. I can testify that cinnamon makes things sweeter in an odd sort of way. I use it on apples and all sorts of other foods.
Moderators LadyM Posted May 16, 2013 Moderators Share Posted May 16, 2013 This is such a relief! I buy this stuff by the pound and LOVE it. Have been drinking it through my Whole30 without question. PHEW!
Guest
I drink this tea also. It's my favorite! So spicy!
kew
I think what I might like best about this cinnamon tea is that it's so spicy that my kids won't drink it! So it's mine, all mine!!!! I don't get to say that very often in this menagerie....
Lizzard77
Thanks for mentioning this tea, it sounds so delicious. I have been drinking tea and herbals, hot and iced, by the gallon since I started on the first. I am always looking for another flavor to add. Iced probably would be fab, maybe with a little coconut milk.....ordering right now
scrapstitching
I ordered some of this today. In one place on their site, they mention cinnamon and cloves. In another area, they mention cinnamon and natural flavors. I'm glad it's compliant. I've read many good things about it!
