ORBren
Sorry you are fighting a cold, cuddle up on the couch with Lily and watch movies. So glad your dinner with friends is over and went well. The menu looked great and was not confrontational at all. I bet lady guest tries berries for dessert sometime soon! Now that oven... Have you collected all that is due to you for having un-agreed upon guests? Perhaps a thermostat repair is a reasonable add on. Good luck.
Derval
Ah all dues have been paid now Orbren, sadly the stove is what...12/13 years old and not worth repairing The downside of being a 1 income house, I hope my children appreciate that I had to suffer culinary shame for their sakes
ORBren
Don't hold your breath for appreciation until they have children of their own!!! How wonderful that you get to stay home - that is so valuable.

EileenRBe
Your pics are lovely as always. Especially the breakfast--yum!!! Glad you're feeling better and that the dreaded dinner is behind you. My oven is touchy and I want to wait till we remodel (plan is going forward slowly) to replace it. I put a thermometer in there and tweak the dial as needed. It's a pain but is working for now. Derval
Yeah maybe I should do that, it's gas and sometimes the flame looks the same whether it's on 1 or 6, it's like it doesn't care what the dial says!!

I am not much of an outdoor girl, I need to be tempted to go out an be active more often. I think this book may do that.

Derval
Good to see you are getting over your cold! and those meatballs look delish! how do you make the sause?? The sauce is from this recipe http://www.thegalleygourmet.net/2012/01/sunday-dinner_22.html# I made half the quantity and there was still loads for the freezer. The meatballs were a mix of pork & beef mince with italian herb mix and some sundried tomato pesto, fried them till crusty and then added the sauce over & simmered for about 20mins. Rojo
I am waiting for breakfast right now. Your food is really mouth-watering! Now is 'cm' coffee coconut milk coffee? I have been wondering about this. I just made some creamer and it tastes almost identical to half and half...I am a little blown away. I love how detailed you are in your breakdown - 66.66 percent. I'm glad we are on similar timelines. You keep me strong! Love it.
Derval
Yes coffee with coconut milk. We don't have creamer over here at all so I've never had it to miss.
Rojo
I love half and half...you guys don't have half and half or whole cream? My husband was addicted to the commercial creamers that have all sorts of gunk in them. It's probably a very good thing you don't have those around. I know a lot of people here who dump tons of the stuff in their coffee.

We certainly have pouring cream, but it wouldn't be that common to use it in coffee here...Is half & half low fat cream?
Derval
**BACON PORN WARNING** Day 21 20 21? That can't be right if Day 1 was a Monday....Hmmmm... will have to go back & see where I lost a day! 8am - 2 boiled eggs, some sliced roast beef, spoon of mayo and some avo. Cm coffee 10.30am - Gym. Good session, made improvements in reps and/or weights on 3 out of 4 exercises Had some pecans after as I drove to collect dh from his coaching. Then on to mother-in-laws where everyone was having the Saturday fry - sausage, bacon, egg, pudding etc and none for me I had a banana and a cup of black tea to keep me going till we got home for MY lunch. 1.15pm - scrambled egg with spinach, smoked salmon, saurkraut, red pesto mayo, avo. Black coffee. Apple & pecan butter. Picked up some thin smoked rashers in shops & chicken mini fillets. Baked off the bacon - nyom nyom, it is SO crispy!! Pretty hard to stop eating I brined the mini fillets and baked them with oil & shawarma mix, should be nice. 5.45pm - roast med veg with red pesto stirred in (yum!) and roast chicken. With a big dollop of avo dressing (half an avo, mayo, lime juice, s&p) That's it for the day - The good session in gym boosted my confidence a bit, feeling a bit "what am I doing wrong?" because I am not "leaning out" this round at all..I would like to get back to where I was previously was, can't pinpoint when that was, where I could really see changes in my body and the start of abs, and other frivilous, vain stuff ho hum, all about health yada yada
Terez
Half-and-half is half milk-half cream. We also have "table light cream" which is lower in calories than half-and-half while being richer-tasting. Go figure. With raw milk I was not able to get table light cream, which is probably what you're calling pouring cream. The cream I received from raw milk was softly solid. Couldn't pour it, had to spoon it. I was using it in my coffee pre-W30 but I think I'm going to stick with ghee and the blender. We'll see. Teresa
