DougK
Coffee or water, that's it for me. At first I felt jilted and deprived, but now (day 51) I don't even think about it. Variety is in my meal.
CAK911
I drink a lot of herbal tea; I'm particularly fond of licorice mint and various rooiboses. Sparkling water is nice sometimes, too. And, coffee is great, but I stick to decaf.

Lora Friedenthal
Coffee, even decaf, makes my brain crazy, so I mostly avoid it now. Which is sad because I love the taste of high quality coffee. Flavored seltzer is a good idea. I have green and herbals teas around. I think I will have to try to keep some brewed and chilled in the fridge.
SummerGirl
Plain water or water with some fresh mint leaves thrown in or hot water with a squeeze of lemon. I also like peppermint tea-it's what I get if I'm out meeting friends. I've never been a coffee drinker-just don't like the taste of it.
kayell
Coffee (with coconut milk), unsweet* tea, water w lemon, lime or mint, plain water, chai w coconut milk before it got hot. Mostly the tea and water.'' *I lived in South Carolina for years. You get used to specifying unsweet if you don't want tea flavored syrup.
Jennyebn
Lemon is my new best friend. I've been adding it to my water and not only is it refreshing but it is delicious as well. Also having tea.

LindaLee
Green (for caffeine) and rasperry (decaf) tea...I tried water with lime, and it was great at first but leaving the slice in it turned out to make it bitter. I'll have to experiment some more.
Sandra Atkinson
I regularly drink green tea and turmeric tea. These two are perfect after a long tiring day!
kayell
Sandra, Do you make the turmeric tea with plain powdered turmeric or do you need to get the root? Dried or fresh?
Tina
Great question and awesome answers! I just started my first Whole30 today and I was wondering the same thing. Looks like it will be mostly water for me as I never learned to like coffee or tea (which is fine because caffeine makes me feel yucky). I am thinking about making some flavored water with fruit and herbs. Anyone have or know of any good recipes?

Cindi
well my favorite tea...herbal chamomile honey tea has soy lechithin in it. DRAT I have another one that has honey and vanilla flavorings. WHAT's THAT mean? would that be safe?
Robin Strathdee
Cindi - Anything with honey as an ingredient is out for your Whole30. Sorry!
Cindi
pretty much what I thought. I avoided it. Sadly.
Cindi
another question about tea...I have Jasmine flavored Green Tea....ingredients: Fine green tea, natural and artificial flavorings. Suspect? and another one Chamomile flavored Green Tea..ingredients is the same: Fine green tea, natural and artificial flavorings. and an observation...anything vanilla tea....has soy lecithin in it sadly. Vanilla is good in ANYTHING and I obviously can't use my home made vanilla since it is made with vodka. Ah well. Reading labels is very eye opening.
